Welcome to Apple Class!
Spring Term 2026
To the Rescue!
Our learning this term will stem from the question ‘What is your superpower?’
We will start off by thinking about our own superpowers and what we are good at. We will then be learning about fictional superheroes before moving on to finding out about our emergency services. We will also consider how we can be heroes and contribute towards looking after our environment.
As geographers, we will be building on our learning about maps by looking at maps of the world and learning the names of the continents and oceans. As historians, we will be discussing why Rosa Parks is a significant person and how life has changed.
As artists, we will be creating our own portraits of Greta Thunberg and as designers, we will be making our own emergency vehicles.
As authors, we will be reading stories about superheroes and using non fiction texts to find out facts about our emergency services. We will use this to create our own information pages to share with Maple Class.
As scientists, we will be learning about materials and their properties. We will continue to explore seasonal change.
Our curriculum letter is further down the page and has more information about our learning for this term.
