Summer Term 2026
The Land Before Time…
Our learning this term will stem from the question ‘What stomps, chomps and roars?’
We will start off by learning about the work of Mary Anning and why she is remembered today. We will be reading a range of dinosaur stories and non fiction books in order to become dinosaur experts!
As geographers, we will be looking at human and physical features by comparing Colgate to Lyme Regis and as artists, we will be developing our sketching skills by drawing fossils and looking closely at the patterns and details.
As scientists, we will be learning about plants and what they need to grow. We will continue to explore seasonal change and we will revisit our learning about Animals including Humans.
