Welcome to Maple Class.
Maple Class is the year one and two class at Colgate.
Mrs Jervis is the class teacher, Mrs Hilder is the HLTA in Maple.

This term our learning theme is:

How do we travel from place to place?
We will start this term by focusing on our school value of ‘Caring’ and will then begin learning all about The Fire of London.
In the first half term we will focus our writing around our history unit and our understanding of vehicles and transport. After half term, our English learning will focus on journeys and will be based on the book by Aaron Becker.
We have uploaded a letter that explains our learning in more detail.
You will also find a PowerPoint explaining how we learn in Year 1 and 2.
