Structure, Roles and Attendance

Structure

The Governing Body provides strategic leadership and direction for the School. It is supported by a Productivity and Resources Committee which monitors finance and resources and a Curriculum and Progress Committee which oversees educational performance. The Governing Body is also supported by a Steering Group which provides oversight and ensures that the work of the Governing Body is aligned with the overall goals of the School.

The Governing Body usually meets 4 times each academic year. The Productivity and Resources Committee usually meets five times and the Curriculum and Progress Committee meets four times. The Steering Group meets twice annually. Extraordinary Governing Body meetings may also be called during the year.

Roles and Attendance

Attendance is given from the point that a governor joined the board, or committee. E.g. 3/4 indicates presence at three out of a possible four meetings during the school year.

Note that Associate Members may attend full governing body meetings but do not have the right to vote.
